THE BIOS

" Basic Input-Output System ", basic system of entry - exit. Program incorporated in a chip of the motherboard that takes charge realizing the basic functions of managing and configuration of the computer. Well, already it(he,she) is. How, which is small? Bueeno ... for the demanding ones, some additional explanations: When we ignite the computer, the operating system is or on the hard disk or on a diskette; nevertheless, if it is supposed that it is the operating system the one that must give support for these devices, how demons might it(he,she) do it if still(yet) it(he) is not loaded in memory(report)?
What is more: how does it(he,she) know the computer that has a hard disk (or several)? And the floppy disk drive? How and where he(she) guards this information, together with the type of memory(report) and did I break or a little so simply but important as the date and the hour? Since for all that the BIOS is. It turns out evident that the BIOS must be able to modify to alter this information (on having added a hard disk or having changed to the summer schedule, for example); by it the BIOS are implemented in memory(report). But in addition it(he,she) must be kept when we extinguish the computer, since it(he,she) would not have felt to have to introduce all the information in every take-off; because of it there are used special memories(reports), which do not resign on having extinguished the computer: memories(reports) type CMOS, by what often the program that the BIOS modifies is named " CMOS Setup ".

Actually(Indeed), these memories(reports) yes resign they lack the electricity; what happens is that they consume so little that can be supported for years by a simple battery(sink), in occasions of those of button (as those of the clocks). This battery(sink) (actually(indeed) an accumulator) is recharged(overloaded) when the computer is ignited, though ultimately it(he,she) dies, as all...IF YOU WANT MORE INFORMACION:
